Seminars to fight recession

Helping managers to beat the recession is the key priority of a series of seminars that have been organised by Basingstoke College of Technology (BCOT) as part of the borough council's Skills Initiative.

Starting on Thursday September 3 and running until Thursday 15 October, BCOT's Business Unit has developed a Management and Leadership Programme consisting of 12 half-day seminars for anyone with management responsibilities.

Each seminar costs £80 per delegate, but to pay these fees a Government grant of up to £1000 is available for companies with up to 250 people (subject to eligibility).

The business areas covered by the seminars will include finance, business efficiency, sales and marketing, customer service and personnel practice/HR issues.
