This course is suitable for all staff. It will enable learners to reach an accurate understanding of customer needs and requirements, ensuring problems are resolved quickly and professionally.
National Lottery Skills
This course introduces good customer service selling techniques for any staff members involved with the sale of National Lottery products. It will give staff a solid working knowledge of the full range of Lottery products, as well as providing them with the ability to promote Lottery products for maximum sales advantage.
Chilled Foods
Staff will be guided in how to receive and store goods properly, merchandise to maximum effect, control stock and reduce wastage to a minimum. All of this leads to increased sales and higher profitability. Learners will be able to identify where changes are needed to improve service and be able to implement and support those changes.
Fresh Foods (Fruit and Veg)
Staff will learn how to improve displays of fresh produce, as well as becoming more knowledgeable and familiar with the product range, so attracting customer attention and increasing sales. Staff will learn how to maintain standards, reduce wastage and increase profitability.
Beers, wines and spirits
Staff will increase their overall knowledge of this important product range. They will be able to provide the customer with qualified advice on their purchases, including the ability to inform about alternative products and make suggestions about matching wine with food. Staff will have a solid foundation that covers all sections of alcoholic beverage products.
News and Magazines Management
This course is suitable for Managers, Assistant Managers and Supervisors involved with the sale of newspapers and magazines. The course will enable learners to select products and merchandise in-step eith local demand, teach accurate ordering, efficient stock control, provide skills in efficient administrative and financial control, as well as the ability to form and maintain good working relationships with wholesalers.
